MCT:August 20, 2008Gracias Timur por traer algo nuevo a America!! Esta película es completamete recomendable para los amantes de la acción. La dirección es refrescante y por fin hay algo nuevo en la mesa, tanto en dirección como en la historia. No digo que hayan reinventado el cine ni nada parecido, pero por lo menos sí algo diferente a las formulas ya vistas una y otra vez. Advertecia: Sí es violenta y tiene MUCHAS maldiciones. Y sí, es exagerada, pero de eso se trata. No se la pierdan en el cine! IIiiiimmm sssooooorrrryyyy

Definately a delight. One of the greatest elements of the film, hands down, is its "visual style". The acting is great, the story is simply woven and fast paced. A very superb action piece.

Awesome the whole way through. Sick as action scenes one that sticks out is the keyboard spelling out Fuck You after hitting someone in the face. The lead character was really cool and Jolie was smoking hot.

Must watch at least 3 times before understanding everything. Not a chore to rewatch at all. Exciting gun scenes and special effects need to be watched with a suspended sense of reality

What a fantastic film!!! I strongly recommend you see it asap!! So far this film is my 2008 favorite (haven´t seen Dark Knight yet) The Director, Timur Bekmambetov (Night Watch) is one silly Russian who makes such crazy and unbelievable action scenes (may remind you of Matrix) that can blow you out of your seat!! Also the cast is excellent including Freeman,Jolie and McAvoy. Oh,yeah...what can i say about Angelina...still the HOTTEST woman on earth!!!

I don't know what to think of this, don't get me wrong' the movie was good, but after watching the previews I was expecting more. Laugh all you want but to me this movie wasn't believable. Yeah, yeah, the previews didn't look believable either but some scenes border on the ridiculous. I will still watch it again because even though it seems I didn't like it very much I do think it was one of the best movies to come out this summer

So many people are forgetting this movie is, obviously, based on a comic book and they don't get tired of calling it "unrealistic" or "unbelievable" or "it defies the rules of Physics", c'mon! Give me a break!
After that display of subjectivity, I must say the movie does feel a little bit like "too much" at some moments but overall is one of those film experiences you usually forgive for being so flawed because all the good stuff is REALLY good ("Across the Universe", "Sin City" and the Jason Statham movies come to mind) and you leave the movie theatre happy, excited and begging for more.
Let's see: sexy Angelina? Checked! awesome lead character you never stop caring about? Checked! Explosions? Checked! Bullets? Checked! More explosions? Double checked! Kick-ass visual effects? Checked! Dizzy action sequences à la Bourne? *barf* Checked!
So, after we all agreed this is a great action flick, let's get down to business: I realized something watching this that may change the course of my life completely (specially regarding death threats from "serious" film lovers)... Ok, here it goes: this movie reminded me a lot of "Fight Club" and, maybe, even "The Matrix". And that's what I loved about it. The lead character (and here I will copy-paste Flixster's synopsis) is a frustrated office worker that learns that he is the son of a professional assassin. And here's the good part: the hypnotic, charming performance by James McAvoy, inspires. Yes, it inspires. It's the average Joe's hero, and what a hero he is! Everything from verbally abuse his obnoxious boss to kick his best friend's ass for fucking his girlfriend to, of course, making out with Angelina Jolie is pitch-perfect what the average Joe who copes with the 9-to-5 hell of being a loser wants in a movie, and the sudden discovery of a new life (a superhero kind of life) is as delicious to the senses and the heart as other loser-becomes-hero movies are. Maybe both Fincher's and the Wachowskis' movies were filled with philosophical juice and some life-changing dialogues/moments but they were, after all, simple: a loser, a less-than-average human being, almost like a machine, wakes up to life and discovers that, after all, he doesn't have to be like everybody else. Simple as that.
There lays the beauty of "Wanted", in its multiple meanings: loser's hero movie, action flick, explosions & bullets extravaganzza. You decide.

Action packed and keeps you guessing all he way until the end. Biggest flaw...it doesn't follow the GN, but aside from that it was a very good movie. Just don't expect the book to come to life in the movie...it doesn't. The training scenes are great. The fight scenes and stunts are amazing.

The only reason I stayed to watch this film was the fact I acctually paid to see it. JMcAvoy and amazing MF performance was only thing justifing why I sat in theatre for 2 hours. Oh yes and AJolies really is the most beautiful woman on planet. So, all in all, cast was ok, and story of movie caught my interest - mr 'nobody' and 'nothing works in my life' who becomes trained assassin of the Fraternity. The whole idea of the story was appealing to me since I love thrillers...But then, it seemed to me like the director didnt know what to put more there to 'fly', jump over...as if the law of gravity doesn't exist....(Brus Willis flying on the stelt in Die hard 4 seems like work of art to me now) ...those sceenes were like a refreshment to me since they allured sincere laughter from me...maybe good for someone...but def not my 'coup of tea'

In the year of the "Good Blockbuster", WANTED follows "IRON MAN" and "THE DARK KNIGHT", pictures that have managed to appeal to varied tipes of audiences, make lots of ca$h and achieve high levels of quality. A fantastic action movie, with stunning and inventive visuals. Timur Bekmambetov amazes again with his unique style; he's definitely one of the best and most creative directors working today. James McAvoy is amazing in his performance, and very convincing as an American. Angelina Jolie is just sexy and tough, her role didn't give room for her to show her immense acting skills. Morgan Freeman is great as always. GREAT lines. Nice music.

Very stylish and entertainin.. it has some really cool action scenes and i just loved it.. even though its quite hard to digest..
but i would recommend this movie for those who love real action movies.. awesome watch.. -

A great action movie, though some scenes are not realistic (Jolie's and Mc Avoy's characters are too good to be true). In fairness, acting was excellent but the storyline could have been a lot better. A little twist and turns in the end, so you have to pay close attention.
Needless killings are all over but if you like lots of blood and gore and nonstop action, and movie plot is not your concern, then this one is for you.

The plot was lacking, the ending pointless. Cool stunts but stunts don't make a good movie by themselves. Worst A.J. movie I've seen to date.

Very good story line. The action scenes very thrilling. All film goers must view the movie. If any one miss the film, that means missing a wonderful experience.

I do want to see it, but i feel like im goin to be disapointed. I got the comic ( which if one of the best series i have read ), & the casting seems a bit...fucked up. Fox was a black chick who looks exactly like Halle Berry & Wesley looks like a taller Eminem. Im not sure who plays who in the other characters but it will seem weird watching it. But i do hope they kept characters like Fuckwit ( worlds greatest super-hero with the down syndrome ) & Shithead ( made from the shit of 666 most evil villians, like Hitler & Ed Gein )
