MCT:April 11, 2008Hmmmm,I wanted to like this movie so much more than I actually did.I have got to stop watching trailers altogether before the movie,I think that must become my new rule.Anyway it was just ok.Steven was DAM yummy but other than that it was kind of a weird blend of like 300/Clan of the cave bear with just a sprinkle of Clash of the Titans,but wound up being not even as good as any one of those.And HELL yes I liked/LOVE Clash of the Titans,Think I am geek all you want,I love that movie and to this day will drop anything to see it when it comes on.Anyway back to this,If you want my honest advice,If you really want to see this wait for dvd. =)

Was pleased to finally see this movie but on the other hand slightly annoyed.
10,000 B.C seems to steal from every other movie i can think of including Apocalypto, Pathfinder and even StarGate.
The effects really are poor but there is some good action scenes and music to set the pace.
Camilla Belle really is too good looking to be thought of as a prehistoric person and seems the only character to be too glamorous compared to other character's in the movie.
Stick to Roland Emmerich's Independence Day & The day after Tomorrow. -

Looking for history? Skip this movie. Looking for fantasy? Might want to check it out. I had "problems" with it, but I still enjoyed it.

It starts off pretty slow, I was getting ready to hit the old off switch on the DVD Player when WHAM it got real good. The special effects were outstanding. The sabre tooth tiger could have been much better, but the mammoths and birds were cool. I rented this one, will add it to my collection when I can. Am glad I didn?t pay the high price of the movie theather, Its worth seeing. Review by the B-man

Okay you know what? I refuse to believe anyone thought this was a good movie, even after seeing some 4 and 5 star ratings on here. I don't hate it just because of its historical inaccuracy. I hate it because it is AWFUL! And don't try telling someone if they take it for what it is (entertainment)it will be good. Because IT IS NOT GOOD even taken on that level! It's BORING if you look at it like that. This is by far the worst movie of 2008. I can't trust your taste in movies if you like this. I will tell you all this...if you thought this was a good movie...WATCH MORE MOVIES!!!

Ouch!!, Visually stunning, but story was weak, predictable & boring, just a hollywood cash grab. Not worth the watch, very disappointed. :'-(

Wow, was this a waste of time, energy and money. I do rely on movies to have a degree of historical accuracy - what bothers me is that some people will take this as truth.
Besides the acting, which was astonishingly bad.
And the poster had nothing to do with anything.
and the two leads seemed awfully clean and beautiful for such rough times.
and... well, I could go on forever like this. But mostly it was just plain BAD.posted 141 days ago -
